We were running both a morning and an afternoon tour today. In the morning, we scouted towards the Northwest, and in the afternoon all the way towards West. Unfortunately, we did not spot any cetaceans, but we saw a lot of grey seals at the island on the morning tour, and in the afternoon we scouted through an area where hundreds of birds were feeding. They were picking up capelin, which is the fish that attracts the humpback whales. We are hoping to see some whales on our tours tomorrow – both trips will be leaving from Ólafsvík!
