12/09/2018: Four species day in Snæfellsnes

Our tour today from Ólafsvík had sightings of four species in beautiful calm and sunny conditions. On a stunning day in Breidafjördur we saw a couple of Minke whales at the tip of the peninsula. We did not spend too long there as there was some current and swell and we were hoping for sightings of toothed whales. We were lucky and found leaping dolphins, which led us to many hundreds of pilot whales in the same area. We spent time with white-beaked dolphins leaping around and bow-riding with many small groups of pilot whales surfacing all around us. There were also plenty of harbour porpoises in the fjord also.
