WHALE WATCHING WESTFJORDS
We went on one tour today from Hólmavík and saw a number of humpback whales. We saw at least seven different whales, some travelling alone and others in small groups. The fjord here is very deep, close to land, and so the whales are often going deep to feed, which means they lift their tails high out of the water when they go down on a dive. Judith (Tour guide)
